the moonlight

the moonlight

when the moonlight
pierces the night
and exposes your
stunning beauty

i feel the animal
inside of me
start to get
excited

but, i remember
what they did to
that gorilla in the
zoo

so, i still have to
play it cool until
we find the privacy
behind closed doors

drawn to the flame

fire in the
distance

a symbol
of hope or
impending
doom

the night
is still
young

in the gentle breeze

the smell of love
gets carried off in
the gentle breeze
of yesteryear

those stunning
eyes wake me
in the dead of
the night

a cold sweat

even when
you’re by
my side

fleeting are the
warm thoughts
that i don’t have
yet another self
sabotage within
me

it’s a cold corner
alone

wondering why
happiness was
never meant for
this lonely soul

unless the rain comes

a hazy
summer
melody
of death
off in the
distance

fireworks
are tonight
unless the
rain comes

what are
we exactly
celebrating
in the first
place

the anger and the agony

rise from the
depths of hell
like a forgotten
nightmare

the adopted
boy finding
the truth
after so
many
years

the anger
and the
agony

the holes in
the wall and
the ignorant
fucks who
thought you
could never
handle the
truth

all you ever
wanted was
to feel like
you belonged

apparently
that part
wasn’t
included
in the
manual
