THE EYE
Day is singular
and night is plural
Because the Sun is light
and the stars are dark
For all that is plural
For in darkness all skin is black
The Sun blinds the naked eye
and when it
the fire flickers
and goes out
The Eye forgets
the Sun rises somewhere else
when
it
sets.
And all is finished
by
the Eye
of Ignorance
